The ÌRÀNTÍ Covenant

The Perpetuity Charter. A covenant in five articles.

A memorial is not a monthly software subscription. It is a family monument that must outlast software fads, corporate acquisitions, and hosting cycles. Here is what a single payment legally and structurally guarantees.

✦

The Sacred Principle

One payment at publication. A dedicated hosting reserve set aside immediately. Complete archival export at any moment. Your family is never held hostage to renewals or intrusive advertising.

For technical data rights, see our Privacy Policy →

I

What the payment funds

The Endowment & Hosting Reserve

Article 1

A fixed share of every fee, on every plan, is set aside as a hosting reserve at the moment a memorial is published. That reserve exists to pay for storage and bandwidth for years in which nothing else is paid. It is not spent on marketing or salaries.

The rest of the fee pays for the work: design, the archive vault, and the permanent hosting.

II

You can leave with everything, at any time

Absolute Archival Sovereignty

Article 2

From the dashboard the owner can download the complete archive as a single file: every original photograph, film, recording and document at full resolution, all the text and data in an open format, and a copy of the memorial as plain web pages that open in any browser without us.

A printable memorial book can be generated at any time.

III

A named successor

Intergenerational Custody

Article 3

Every owner can name a successor: the person who inherits control of the memorial. When the time comes, ownership passes to them with one action, and the previous owner keeps editing access.

IV

Private by choice

Dignity & Privacy by Choice

Article 4

A memorial can be public, unlisted, or private behind a family passcode. On a public memorial, chosen sections can be kept for passcode holders only. We never store the passcode itself, only a salted hash of it.

V

If ÌRÀNTÍ ever ceases to operate

The Perpetuity Contingency Protocol

Article 5

We intend to operate for a very long time. If that were ever to change, this is what would happen, in this order.

Every family would receive at least twelve months notice by email and on the memorial dashboard, their complete archive without needing to ask, and the release of any connected custom domain. The plain-page copy of each memorial would be delivered so it can be hosted by the family or by another service.

The hosting reserve would be used to keep memorials online throughout that notice period.

Plain Candor

What we do not promise.

True permanence requires radical honesty about technical and legal boundaries. We do not make vague marketing claims we cannot uphold.

A.

We cannot keep a domain you stop renewing. A custom domain is registered in your name with your registrar; if it lapses, the memorial remains at its ÌRÀNTÍ address.

Standard Boundary
B.

We do not control third-party services. A YouTube or Vimeo link embedded on a memorial depends on that service keeping the video available. Film uploaded to the archive vault does not.

Standard Boundary
C.

We do not moderate tributes on your behalf. Tributes and stories from visitors appear only after the family approves them.

✦

Every life deserves a permanent sanctuary.

Begin a draft at your own pace without commitment. Your family’s records remain private until you choose to publish.
